Further Information

Danfoss DHP-AX makes use of the energy in the outdoor air. It is so efficient that it is able to convert the energy down as low as -16°C. This is the perfect solution for those of you who do not want to, cannot or are not permitted to drill for rock heat, because it does not require any bore holes. Just like our rock heat pumps, it produces both heat and hot water and can reduce the costs of heating your house by up to three quarters.

DHP-AX comprises a base unit that includes heat pump functionality. The base unit can be combined with a specially adapted indoor kit creating a complete heating solution that provides both heating and hot water. It can also be connected with an existing heating system or parts of such a system. “We have developed this product to meet increased demand on the European market for small, silent and effective air/water heat pumps. DHP-AX is full of technical innovations and we strongly believe it will meet the requirements of a target audience looking for an affordable and reliable heating solution.

The flexibility of the heat pump combined with a favourable price and high performance, means the end-user gets value for money,” says Lars Bergen, Marketing Director at Danfoss Heat Pumps. The product has been developed at Danfoss research and development centre in Sweden.

DHP-AX is available in four power outputs (6, 8, 10 and 12 kW) and is being launched all over Europe. Reduce your heating costs with our most affordable heat pump ever. In DHP-AX we have used our accumulated knowledge to develop a fully flexible air/water heat pump that operates at high performance. Energy is taken from outdoor air, even down to temperatures as low as –16°C.

Flexible solution: When investing in a heat pump its essential to look at the needs of your home before choosing a model. With DHP-AX youre given the possibility to connect the heat pump to your existing heating system, or parts of it, for example a water heater. If you need a complete solution, you can easily supplement DHP-AX with the parts you need.

Your installer can offer a specially adapted indoor kit to obtain maximal efficiency. This is a flexible heat pump that suits your needs, however big or small they are, and youll never invest in more than you need. Quick and smooth installation The DHP-AX consists of only two major units, the outdoor heat pump and the indoor control unit, which makes installation quick and smooth. And since the heat pump is located outside, it will not occupy any indoor space. The only connection between the outdoor unit and the house are two pipes and two cables. Since the compressor is located on the outside there are no components that creates noise on the inside, which will give a better sound environment in the house.

The sound created outside the house is also low – the sound of the compressor is actually lower than the sound of the fan. High annual efficiency The annual efficiency measures the capacity of the heat pump over a full year. DHP-AX is full of innovative solutions for a high annual efficiency. For example it collects energy from the outdoor air down to –16°C. Defrosting is done automatically only on demand, which further boosts the efficiency, guaranteeing a high COP.

The result is low heating costs and less impact on the environment. The DHP-AX can be equiped in hot water kit which consist: hot water tank 200l (TWS technology), additional heater, circulation pump and 3-way valve. Danfoss DHP-AX is available in four power outputs, from 6 to 12 kW - for 400 V 3-N (also for 240 V 1-N)
